Jeanne Pepper and Bonni Pomush, November 2024

Bonni Pomush serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Working Wardrobes, one of Southern California's leading non-profits dedicated to empowering men, women, young adults, veterans, and seniors to enter or re-enter the workforce. As only the second leader in the organization's 30+ year history, Bonni has quickly established a reputation for transformational and data-driven leadership. Her core philosophy centers on the fundamental belief that every person has a unique contribution to make and deserves the opportunity to live up to their potential.

With over 25 years of executive experience in both government and non-profit agencies, Bonni is a seasoned expert in strategic planning, sustainable systems development, and team leadership. Before joining Working Wardrobes in 2022, she managed large budgets and spearheaded major fundraising initiatives, successfully securing over $6 million in capital campaign funds for her previous organization. This robust background, including a Master’s degree in Family Resources and Human Development, informs her research-based approach to solving complex social problems.

Under Bonni's tenure, Working Wardrobes has dramatically increased its impact, prioritizing a holistic approach to career readiness. She has expanded the organization's services far beyond wardrobing to encompass comprehensive workforce readiness and development, including certifications, mock interviews, and coaching on navigating employment barriers. Her focus on employee retention and workplace culture transformation has also earned the organization recognition as a "Best Place to Work" by the Orange County Business Journal.

Bonni’s commitment to community upliftment has not gone unnoticed. She was named one of Orange County's "Most Influential People" by The Orange County Register in 2023, and an "Orange Coast Kickass Woman" in 2024. Through her leadership, Bonni Pomush ensures that Working Wardrobes continues its mission of offering a "hand up" to clients, equipping them with the dignity, confidence, and skills required to achieve meaningful and gainful employment, thereby driving significant social and economic impact across the region and beyond.
