His eldest daughter, Brianna, from his first marriage, has grown up to be an adult and a member of the LGBTQ community herself. In a poignant connection, she attended the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) at the same time as Jeanne Pepper's son, Blaze.
His dedication to others extends beyond his immediate family. Through a toy store he once owned in Mission Viejo, he befriended Lori Coble, another significant figure in the community. Joshua has since worked hard to support Lori and her family in their struggle with Lori’s brain cancer, a testament to his deep-seated compassion and commitment to those around him.
