Episode 115: Bailey Kaufman

Jeanne Pepper and Bailey Kaufman enjoying some downtime after Episode 115

Bailey Kaufman

The unofficial representative of Generation Z

EdD candidate Fordham University

This is a shorter interview with my family friend Bailey Kaufman. Bailey is a young graduate student presently living in Slovakia after finishing her first year there as a Fulbright scholar! When not traveling the world, she is based in New York City, where she is pursuing her Ed.D. in education. Bailey represents the perspective of many young adults ("zillenials") who are actively seeking deeper meaning and purpose in both their professional lives and personal philosophies. Bailey's life now is at the intersection of education, community service, and personal meaning. She is passionate about contributing to a world where intentional acts of service are prioritized. This commitment is reflected in her willingness to share her personal journey and perspectives, discussing the societal shifts needed to encourage her peers to pursue careers and activities that prioritize social good.

Through her discussions, including her appearance on PeppTalks, Bailey offers insightful observations on Gen Z spirituality, the pursuit of a higher power, and how this new generation defines success not just by achievement, but by the impact they make on the world. Her work serves as an emerging view and resource for understanding the motivations and values of the next generation of leaders and advocates.
